Stay up to date with the latest improvements to Maintainly CMMS.

Here's what we've shipped recently, including new automation features, expanded file compatibility, and enhanced overall performance to make managing maintenance tasks, assets, and inventory faster and more intuitive.

🚀 New Features

Preventive Maintenance Automations

  • Automation List: A redesigned interface now lets you view, edit, and manage all your maintenance automations in one place. Easily monitor recurring work orders, preventive maintenance schedules, and triggered alerts.

  • Next Due Date Tracking: Each automation now displays its next scheduled due date, helping maintenance managers anticipate upcoming work and stay ahead of preventive maintenance.

  • Advanced Filtering: Filter automations by asset, type, metric or task template, making it easier to manage recurring maintenance tasks across large facilities.

Image Support

  • HEIC/HEIF Images: We have improved our support for HEIC and HEIF image formats, commonly used on Apple devices, so technicians can attach high-quality photos directly from their phones to work orders or inspection tasks.

✨ Improvements

Assets

  • Task Count Display: When selecting an asset, you’ll now see the number of tasks associated with it, giving clearer insight into asset workload and maintenance frequency.

  • Better Hierarchy Navigation: Asset hierarchies no longer collapse unexpectedly, improving navigation for complex equipment trees or multi-site organizations.

  • Smoother Scrolling: Enhanced scrolling performance in large asset lists makes equipment management faster and more responsive.

Materials & Inventory

  • Enhanced Search: The materials search tool now includes manufacturer and model fields, making it easier to find the right part or component in seconds.

  • Shelf Reference Field: A new “Shelf Reference” field lets you record exact storage locations, improving inventory accuracy and warehouse organization.

  • Export Fix: We’ve resolved issues that prevented material lists from exporting properly to CSV or Excel formats.

Tasks & Work Requests

  • Assign User Count on Mobile CMMS: We've added the quantity of assigned users to the Tasks list page on the mobile app and moved it, along with the comment count to the right of the screen, to better align with the web app.

  • Work Request Details in Exports: Task exports now include full work request data, giving better visibility in maintenance reporting.

  • PDF Improvements: Fixed checklist truncation issues in task PDF exports for cleaner, more complete maintenance records.

  • Public Work Requests: Enhanced public-facing work request pages now display clearer details, improving communication with external requesters.

Performance

  • Faster Navigation: Load times between pages have been significantly reduced, improving efficiency across the CMMS.

  • Improved Data Loading: Smarter caching ensures data is retrieved only when needed—reducing wait times and improving system stability.

  • Smoother Experience: Multiple performance optimizations enhance responsiveness across the web app.

🐛 Bug Fixes

  • Fixed QR label generation issues affecting asset tags.

  • Resolved date formatting inconsistencies in exports and reports.

  • Corrected validation problems when creating or editing assets.

  • Fixed ambiguous metrics filtering by asset type.

  • Improved error handling and user-facing error messages for clearer troubleshooting.

These updates continue Maintainly's mission to make maintenance management simpler, faster, and more reliable for teams everywhere. Stay tuned for even more automation, integration, and reporting features coming soon.
